What version of the driver are you running and have you confirmed the fan is running?

I love the eVGA tool.
Great to see temps, FPS and fan speeds and it can also display it on screen too.

Fan is running on both...I have the side cover off. I put the old card in last night and it lasted about 1 minute. I got another 5770 today in case the last one was bad but I've now had the same results. I put my old card in and it does not work at all now. I did read on some internet boards that the 5770 has had problems with older Asus motherboards. I have an Asus motherboard which is 3 years old. The place I got this card at has a NVidia 260, so I may get it. That is the highest level NVidia card they have right now.

Wondering if your PS is having issues. For two cards to not work it might be suspect.
Do you have another computer you can try the cards in?

It is possible it could be a motherboard issue, but the two cards are the same cards and I'm not the only one who has had issues with this card. I'm going back today to get an NVidia card. If doesn't work then I'll try the mobo next.

Well...I came home with a GTX260 and the same thing. I'm guessing the mobo is the issue now.

I'm completely tearing my computer apart and putting it back together clean. I'll be out of commission until I get my system running again.

The issue is my motherboard. I've ordered a new one, chipset and RAM from egghead. I'm keeping the GTX260 video card. I will probably be out the rest of the week. If things ship well and everything goes great,I'll be back on Friday. If it doesn't go great, it will most likely be monday.

Computer is back but internet is not working on it.
